Cedar Roots Mushrooms serves Pembroke, Petawawa, and the Ottawa Valley with a local-first fresh model. For cultures and grain spawn, we also ship within Canada.
Fresh mushrooms
The easiest place to find us is at the Petawawa Container Market on Fridays, 4:00pm - 8:00pm, starting in May.
Outside market hours, fresh mushrooms are available in Pembroke by appointment. Reach out through the contact form for availability and we’ll let you know what we have. We’re also building a daily-updated fresh mushroom inventory for quick reference.
We’re developing a local delivery experiment for mushroom lovers in the Ottawa Valley. The idea is a non-committal weekly sign-up: same day each week by area (for example Mondays for Pembroke and Wednesdays for Petawawa), with a weekly notification where members can add items online. If you don’t want anything that week, you’re simply skipped.
Longer term, we’d love to expand this into a broader Valley service so other local farmers/providers can do the same thing. More on that later.
Cultures & grain spawn
Liquid cultures and grain spawn can be shipped within Canada. We use packaging that protects cultures and spawn in transit. Shipping costs and options are shown at checkout. Local growers may also arrange pickup when available.
Wholesale & custom orders
For restaurants, markets, or larger orders, get in touch directly. We can discuss volume, frequency, and delivery arrangements. Wholesale inquiries are welcome.
